The Russian market is still there but only in the very bottom or top ends of the market. despite a hard year so far the results have been good and if this trend continues look for a prosperous 2010.

As another summer draws to a close we can report that this year, despite all the talk of downturn we have had record viewings and enquiries this month. We have had to increase the bandwidth for our web site twice this month to keep up with the increase of traffic to the site. With a record number of unique visitors from around the world, specifically showing increased interest from Europe and the Arab States, USA and Asia.

Property sales have remained steady with a total of 31 sales this year from a variety of markets. From investment to private purchase.

Overall prices have dropped, by around 15 – 20%, giving many bargain properties. This of course does not help the overall market when the choice of property continues to grow, especially with the fall in the euro- sterling price going back to 1.13 in the last few days.

There has been an increase in the rental market, this is good for those of you who have rented their properties and has been a target for investment buyers looking for properties with guaranteed rental return – we believe that this sector will continue to grow.

In our opinion the market has not yet ‘bottomed out’, but looking at projections from major financial analysts here in Cyprus, 2010 will show a significant market improvement, so do not despair!
